Young’s Fine Wines & Spirits

Young’s Fine Wines & Spirits, or simply Young’s, was founded in 1933. Young’s has the largest selection of fine wines and spirits on Long Island. We travel regularly to find high quality, value wines. We’ve been to France, Italy, California, Washington and Oregon on buying trips.

Our “vision” in building the business is simple – we find wines and spirits that represent great value and high quality, from every region of the world and at every price point. We staff the store with “people” people, and train them to listen to our customers and suggest products that they will enjoy. Everyone at Young’s knows that we are in the relationship business, not the transaction business. Our most important metric is customer count, not sales dollars. We know that when our customer count grows, we’re doing our job and the numbers always take care of themselves.

In 2008, we began our popular Women and Wine Wednesdays and Sippin’ Sundays education classes in a professional seminar area we built called TLC (The Learning Center). The classes begin with wine basics and then build on our customers’ knowledge with in depth sessions about varietals and winemaking regions. We regularly invite chefs, distillers and winemakers to host special sessions.


Our website also has video shorts, called “Wine in a Minute”, hosted by our Wine Know, Kim Caldwell. The videos give the viewer a fast paced, informative overview of different varietals and regions of the winemaking world. The customer reaction has been great!

Giving back to the community is very important to us. Working with ICS, we developed a method for customers to donate their Young’s Cost Cutter Card points to an important local charity, the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer (MWCABC). The community reaction has been overwhelming and we raise thousands of dollars every year for the MWCABC.

For us to provide outstanding customer service to over one hundred thousand customers every year, we need a system that is absolutely reliable and has the sophistication in function and capability to separate us from other retailers.
